This qualification is designed to meet the needs of builders and managers of small to medium-sized building businesses.

- This Training is delivered with the Victorian Government. Funding for eligible students. To be eligible, you must be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, or have a permanent residency visa, and be ‘upskilling’ by seeking to enrol in a higher-level course than what you already hold. This may impact your access to further government-subsidized training in the future.

Entry Requirements
- Applicants must be aged 18 or above
- To assist prospective students to determine if the course issuitable and appropriate for the individual needs, Pre-training Review (PTR) will be conducted.
- Successful completion of BCTA’s Language, Literacy andNumeracy (LLN) test.

Delivery Methods
CPC40110 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) is delivered with a weekly class (conducted virtually in a real-time classroom environment through MS Teams). You need to set aside 10 hours per week for self-study and 5 hours for Assessment work.
In weekly class, your trainer will facilitate a range of Training experiences including:
• Trainer led instruction
• Discussion and debate
• Group Training activities
• Case studies
• Role plays

What you will learn
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must demonstrate competency in 16 units of competency:
• 13 core units and
• 3 elective units
In order to meet the requirements of the Building Authority, 3 electives have been selected. All the units have been divided into five topics.
